Ten of My Favorite Writing Quotes

We all need inspiration from time to time. Often, this can come through a scene idea stuck in our head. Where we rush and write so we can get there. Other times it’s the knowledge of a reward once we reach a certain milestone. 

Yet still, we can get inspiration from the quotes of those who have gone before us. Here are ten of my favorite quotes on writing. 

If there’s a book that you want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it. -Toni Morrison

It’s like the great stories, Mr. Frodo, the ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn’t want to know the end because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad has happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing this shadow, even darkness must pass. Not all of these quotes will inspire you the way they inspire me. Use this list as an example to create your own list of motivating quotes. And when you make your list, put it someplace that you can access when you’re feeling down about your writing.
